What to see and do in Yaiza

About 20 minutes by car from our R2 Bahía Kontiki apartments is Yaiza, this town is practically a must-see in Lanzarote, where you will find everything: beaches, landscapes, gastronomy and lots of history.
Yaiza boasts a wealth of natural areas, such as the Janubio Salt Flats (the largest in the Canary Islands), the Charco de los Clicos natural pool, and the renowned Timanfaya National Park. Along the coast, you'll find the Charco Verde natural pool and the famous Papagayo Beaches, perfect for relaxing and unwinding.
You can also visit its historic center, where you'll find architectural landmarks such as churches and a castle; there are also archaeological sites. In addition, you can sample its delicious cuisine: fish, cheeses, and wines.
