Fuerteventura, "La Isla Tranquila", is just 59 miles away from the African Coastline on the East of the Canarian Archipelago, between Lanzarote and Gran Canaria. Pájara
It’s the largest municipality in Fuerteventura, with the longest coastline of the Canary Islands.The main activity of the municipality is tourism but the tradition of the “apañadas”, which consists on the farming of the coast cattle by the residents. Morro Jable has become the origin of the tourist centre of the Island.
